INTERNAL QUALITY ASSURANCE CELL (IQAC)

In pursuance of its Action Plan for performance evaluation, assessment & accreditation & quality up-gradation of institutions of higher education, NAAC proposes that every accredited institution should establish an Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) as a post-accreditation quality sustenance measure. Since quality enhancement is a continuous process, the IQAC will become a part of the institution’s system & work towards realization of the goals of quality enhancement & sustenance. In S.CHAVHAN MAHILA MAHAVIDYALAYA, AMGAON College IQAC Cell was established in the year 2023.The primary responsibility of the IQAC is to establish a system that facilitates mindful, continuous, and catalytic enhancement in the overall performance of the institution.

MISSION OF THE IQAC

Developing benchmarks for quality parameters to facilitate continuous improvement in all academic and administrative accomplishments at S.CHAVHAN MAHILA MAHAVIDYALAYA, AMGAON College.

OBJECTIVES:

  • Formulating mechanisms and procedures to enhance the quality of academic and administrative performance.

  • Implementing and monitoring diverse programs aimed at continuous improvement.

  • Serving as a central agency for coordinating and documenting all activities related to quality.

  • Promoting measures to foster a culture of quality within the institution.

QUALITY POLICY

Our commitment is to institute a Quality Enhancement system that consistently evaluates and improves the quality of teaching, learning, research, and extension activities within the institution. This on-going process aims to refine all facets of our operations, fostering excellence and enabling the institution to reach new heights of achievement.

Strategies:

The IQAC shall devise mechanisms and procedures for:

  • Ensuring timely, efficient, and progressive performance across academic, administrative, and other units.

  • Optimizing and integrating modern methods of teaching and learning.

  • Ensuring credible assessment and evaluation processes.

  • Ensuring proper allocation, adequacy, and maintenance of support structures and services.

  • Facilitating the sharing of research findings and networking with other institutions.

Functions of the IQAC are:

  • Development and implementation of benchmarks/parameters to assess the quality of both academic and administrative activities within the institution.

  • Fostering the creation of a learner-centric environment that supports quality education, along with promoting faculty development to embrace necessary knowledge and technology for an engaging teaching and learning process.

  • Establishing mechanisms for collecting feedback from students, parents, and other stakeholders regarding institutional processes related to quality.

  • Disseminating information on various quality parameters relevant to higher education.

  • Organizing workshops and seminars, both within and outside the institution, on themes related to quality and encouraging the formation of quality circles.

  • Documenting various programs and activities aimed at enhancing quality within the institution.

  • Serving as the central agency within the institution for coordinating activities related to quality, including the adoption and dissemination of best practices.

  • Cultivating a Quality Culture within the institution, fostering a shared commitment to continuous improvement and excellence.
